Lip Injections
it’s important for patients to know what to expect when it comes to lip injections with Juvederm fillers. Prior to your treatment, you must be off antibiotics, avoid alcohol, NSAIDs like Advil and Ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for five days. Do not schedule dental procedures, chemical peels or laser treatments two weeks before or two weeks after your treatment.
A topical numbing agent will be applied prior to your injections. Once numb, we will administer a series of injections to plump, augment, and hydrate your lips.
Bruising is common after the injections and can last up to a week. Swelling during the first 48 hours post lip injection is normal. Patients will be asked to come in for a follow-up visit, two weeks post-injection.
